Lady of the Night - Copper Etched Owl necklace
I've been listening to this singer the last few days with a very pleasant enchantment, and I decided to create this design inspired by those beautiful nighttime moments, when I feel so close to wild nature, to that song that plunges into the darkness, into the deep silence of the night and of myself.
And also because of the symbolic aspects of the owl, which have persisted in human culture for thousands of years. Symbols of wisdom, intuition, and protection, owls are often associated with the supernatural and are guardians of "death" in a transformative sense, related to new beginnings.
An image of a owl was etched into solid copper sheet by me. Then hand sawed around, oxidized and polished. This amazing fly is hold by sections of antique copper chain, doubled links and closes with my handmade findings.
Focal is about 4 7/8 inches horizontally and 2 2/8 inches height at the middle.
Total length is 22 6/8 inches
