Serie Religions

This piece is part of my series 'Religions' and I am trying to find materials to contemplate all of them.

This necklace has been built by mounting a image of a Muslim Ritual (found in an art book) on a section of solid copper sheet that I hand cut and polished. Metal has been patinated by me using three different colors in a discreet mood. The image is protected by layers of glazed and two layers of resin. And so I ornate it with faceted Rutilated Quartz stone bellow and muslim symbols, the Moon ( solid copper) and Star (Mykono bead). The pendant hangs on a delicate, shabby leather cord (doubled), orate with Picasso glass beads and Tibetan Agate stones. Leather cord chain closes in the from with my handmade clasp and jump ring.

The focal measures 40X48 mm.
Leather cord: 25 1/2 inches long including my handmade findings.
