Gipsy Caravan series
This is a series of hoops and bracelets that features a variety of beads from around the world gathered in this boho gipsy style, a celebration of the multi culture... handmade glass African beads, artisan lamp work beads, African Chevron trade beads, Afghanistan buttons made by Kuchi Tribe, Naga Shell beads, carved stones from Tibet, African brass beads, Indonesian glass... all of them together in this nomadic, festive style.
In this pair, I used an artisan earthy lamp work in red, a heart glass bead, a layered African Chevron, African seed glass in white, a reg glass and solid brass beads and small red glass from Indonesian. Dangling bellow the solid brass hoops we have a carved pumpkin Carnelian bead from Tibet, a solid brass spacer and an yellow Opal stone.
One detail: the hoops were hand forged with 16 gauge solid brass wire for firmness and durability. I hammered the wire all around to compress the metal molecules and then I ornate them with the beads, oxidized and polished them. So, 16 gauge is a bit thicker than 18 gauge that is thicker than the standard 20 gauge.
They dangle 2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches across
